Isaiah 1:26-28; 62:12

The National Urban Ministry Conference concluded on Saturday at Harding School of Theology.  Over 120 urban workers from around the country convened in Memphis to sharpen skills in serving the poor and others living in our cities.

It was a time of renewal, reconnecting, and networking.  The NUMC will be held in St. Louis in February 2013 at the North City Church of Christ.

An awesome time of praise and worship was led by Stephen Maxwell.  Stephen assembled a talented group of singers to form the 2012 NUMC Praise Team (Jared King, Alasha Maxwell, and Luke Coles).  Each day of the conference  was bracketed with with uplifting praise and worship.

Dr. Evertt Huffard Dean/VP of Harding School of Theology spoke was the featured keynote speaker on  Thursday night.  He challenged us to think about how "He Showed You What is Great" from Micah 6:8.  Dr. Huffard also challenged us to consider a new view of the temple from Hebrews 13.
