Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some of the questions we are frequently asked listed below:
Why is there a registration fee for attending the 2016 National Urban Ministry Conference?
There are costs associated with putting on the National Urban Ministry Conference (NUMC). The nominal $100 registration fee is necessary to pay for overhead related to putting together a quality conference. The registration fee also allows urban ministries and churches that are small in size to help host the conference without having to worry about costs. The registration fee also allows the NUMC to be held annually at a variety of venues. This year the NUMC has moved to the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
What is the difference between the National Urban Ministry Conference and the National Urban Ministry Association?
The National Urban Ministry Conference is held annually around the third weekend of February. The vision of the NUMC is to become the largest gathering of inner city or urban ministers and leaders in the United States. The National Urban Ministry Association is a nonprofit that serves as a hub that provides resources, support, research, collaboration, and a voice for the poor, through a network of urban ministries and urban churches.
