The 2025 NUMC "Heart for the City" was an incredible two jam-packed days of learning from the very best minds in Urban Ministry. Urban Ministers, non-profit Directors, and Urban Practitioners were able to network, mingle, learn and be inspired. We look forward to the development of a book on Urban Ministry and the National Urban Ministry Association developing a resource hub that will be critical to the future of urban ministry. The National Urban Ministry Conference was planned by the Atlanta Inner City Ministry by Bret Wilson and Alfred Donald with assistance from their team, Vickie Avery, and Diane Tomlinson. We greatly appreciate the use of the facilities of East Cobb Church of Christ for 2025 NUMC venue. In addition, we were blessed with a group of dynamic keynote speakers: Huston Oliver, Todd Flowers, Dan Crane, Mark Powell, Adrian Ayers, and Steve Cloer. During each session awesome worship was led by Stephen Maxwell. We are also grateful for a collection of individuals who led breakout sessions at the 2025 NUMC.

The National Urban Ministry Association serves as a hub that provides resources, support, research, collaboration, and a voice for the poor, through a network of urban ministries and urban churches. The National Urban Ministry Association’ mission also includes organizing the annual National Urban Ministry Conference.

The list of Urban Ministries across the United States are affiliate members of the National Urban Ministry Association (NUMA). Any urban minister or practitioner from those listed are welcome to create a free account and take advantage of the resources on the website.

If your Urban Church or Urban Ministry is not listed in the National Urban Ministry Association database, your organization is invited to join NUMA by clicking on the Join NUMA button. As one of the benefits of being a member of NUMA, a member of your team will be able to attend the National Urban Ministry Conference FREE February 19-21, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas. In addition to the FREE 2026 NUMC registration, you will also be able to tap into the free resources available to affiliate members in the member only sections of the website. Once your ministry is registered, anyone on your ministry team is able to set up a free membership account.
